Why the profile comes first
Company Profile (/vendor/company-profile) holds the fields the fit score, the bid cockpit and the alerts read. With no NAICS codes on the profile, the Opportunities page has a single All tab, search scores no NAICS match, the cockpit cannot pass its NAICS check, and new-match alerts have nothing to match.
Look up your SAM.gov record
Enter your UEI and choose Look up. The platform reads its loaded copy of the SAM.gov public extract and fills legal name, doing-business-as name, CAGE code, state and the NAICS codes in the record; untick wrong ones and mark the primary. The extract does not mark a primary NAICS and does not carry business types, so set-asides are entered by hand. If the extract has not been loaded, or your registration is not in it, the page says so and you enter the details by hand. The lookup saves nothing until you save the profile.
The eight items and the meter
The Profile meter counts eight items. Done items count fully and partly done items count half.
- UEI: 12 letters and numbers. Without it your federal awards cannot be found and bid packets print no UEI.
- CAGE code: 5 letters and numbers.
- NAICS codes: 6 digits each, up to 50, primary first.
- Set-asides: Small business, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, VOSB, WOSB, EDWOSB, or confirm you hold none. Until you choose, every notice set aside for a program scores as a blocker.
- Home state: a two-letter code; without it place of performance is left out of the score.
- Facility clearance: None, Secret or Top Secret. Until you choose, the cockpit flags every notice that asks for a clearance.
- Past performance: done at 2 records, partly done at 1.
- Team members: done at 1. A cleared or certified employee only counts once they are on the team.
Who can change what
Any member of the company can edit the profile, except the UEI and CAGE code, which only a company admin can change. Setup items can be assigned to teammates. Read-only seats cannot save.
Capability statement and AI extraction
The Capability statement tab holds your statement. An AI extraction of profile fields from uploaded text exists, produces a proposal for an admin or reviewer to approve or reject, and is unavailable while AI is switched off; demo accounts are told "LLM features are disabled for this demo account."
