Price Benchmarks and Price Intelligence

Award-amount percentiles by NAICS from USASpending, the three suggestion tiers, and where labour rates come in

Market rates

Price Benchmarks (/vendor/benchmarks) computes the average, minimum, maximum and count of award amounts in the platform's USASpending copy for a NAICS code, optionally narrowed by agency and fiscal year. The 25th percentile, median and 75th percentile are real percentiles computed by linear interpolation over up to 500,000 amounts. Results are cached for an hour.

Suggestions

For a notice, the suggestion shows three tiers: Conservative at the 25th percentile, Competitive at the median, and the 75th percentile as a ceiling. They are statistics of past award amounts in the same NAICS, not a pricing recommendation for your bid.

Labour rates and the IGCE

Hourly labour rates come from GSA CALC+ and feed the IGCE calculator (/vendor/igce). Each rate is an awarded ceiling rate with its source record kept. See the labour rates article for the 20-record limit and how failures are reported.
