Stages
The board (/vendor/pipeline) has four open columns, Identified, Qualifying, Bidding and Submitted, and a Decided column that keeps Won, Lost and No-bid visible. Each card shows its stage, owner, decision, last activity and a P(win) band. Filters: team tabs (Waiting on me, Assigned to me, Needs a decision, Team decided, All), owner, Stale 14+ days, NAICS and agency; a Table view lists the same pursuits.
How a pursuit enters
A pursuit is created in one of four ways, and always in Identified or Qualifying.
- Add to pipeline in the Opportunity inbox (stage Identified, due date set from the notice close date).
- Bid on the notice page's cockpit: a Bid decision creates the pursuit if needed and moves it to Qualifying; No-bid records that instead.
- Add Opportunity on the board, with a title, stage, priority, estimated value, win probability, due date, owner and notes.
- A bulk add from the classic opportunities list.
Moving and the two gates
Drag a card, use the keyboard (Space to pick up, Left and Right to move, Space to drop), or open the card's Move menu. Moving into Bidding needs a recorded Bid decision; moving into Submitted needs a passed final review. Without them the board opens a gate sheet ("Gate: Bid / No-bid decision", "Gate: Final review") where you record the decision or review with an optional reason, then move. Backward moves and outcome moves (Won, Lost, No-bid) need no gate. Mark Won and Mark Lost ask for the reason.
P(win) and staleness
Leave Win Probability blank and the pursuit uses its stage default, always labelled as an estimate: 10 percent in Identified, 20 in Qualifying, 35 in Bidding, 40 in Submitted. A number you enter replaces it and is shown as entered by your team, not a model score. A pursuit with no activity for 14 days is stale. The brief above the board shows the next deadline, value by stage, the next 5 deadlines and a forecast by quarter.
