Teaming Partner Finder

Find past prime winners at the same buyer and NAICS, shortlist them on a pursuit, and track the NDA and teaming agreement

On this page

  1. Start from a pursuit
  2. Proven versus claimed
  3. Search partners by where they win
  4. Contacting a partner
  5. Outreach and the log

Start from a pursuit

Teaming (/vendor/teaming) has four tabs: Pursuit, Search, Outreach and Log. The Pursuit tab needs a pursuit on your pipeline with a linked notice. It lists the gaps on that pursuit (set-aside, NAICS, buyer, clearance, certification) and then "Who could fill your gaps": vendors whose USASpending awards at the same buyer and NAICS fill them. Only set-aside, NAICS and buyer gaps can be filled from award data; award data has no clearance field and no staff certifications.

Vendors are ordered by whether they fill the notice's set-aside gap, then by gaps filled, then award share (their dollars over all dollars at the buyer in the NAICS), then wins, then name. Shortlist adds a vendor to the pursuit, where you record their role (sub or prime), the teaming agreement state and an optional workshare percentage.

Proven versus claimed

A set-aside status is proven when an award on file was made under the matching set-aside code. An SDVOSB win also proves VOSB and Small business; 8(a), WOSB, HUBZone and VOSB wins prove Small business. A status you type for a partner is a claim and is labelled as one. Most award rows carry no set-aside code at all, and the page says "Set-aside not looked up" rather than guessing.

Search partners by where they win

The Search tab takes a NAICS, a PSC, a set-aside won and an agency or sub-agency, and runs only when you press Search. Results show wins, award share, set-asides won and the latest award, ranked by awards on file, then dollars, then the newest first-obligated date. Counts are awards on file in the platform's partial copy of USASpending, not every award the vendor holds, and the page says so.

Contacting a partner

The platform holds no contractor emails and never guesses one. Enter an email you have, and the Contact menu opens a draft in Gmail, Outlook or your mail app; you are the sender and nothing is sent by the platform. Other items: the company website, a phone number, a SAM.gov search for the UEI, the award record on USASpending, and Log a contact. After you send, answer "Did you send it?" to log the touch.

Outreach and the log

Outreach tracks each partner through shortlisted, contacted, replied, NDA, agreement or declined, with next-step dates ("Overdue" and "Due today" flags) and NDA states that warn 30 days before expiry. The Log tab records every change: partner added, shortlisted, agreement updated, NDA requested or recorded. Read-only seats can view all of this but not change it.
